Double/Full Mattresses

Double or Full Mattresses in Canada measure (53x74") or (137 x 188cm). While manufacturers do their best to follow these measurements there is typically a variance of a 1/2" to a full 1" in some cases. This size is considered uncommon and is mainly found in children's or guest bedrooms. Long-term care homes often require this size as they are unable to accommodate a queen but desire an electric adjustable bed larger than a Twin or Twin XL size. Some Double or Full Mattresses will measure closer to 54" wide which is important to remember when choosing both your furniture and a mattress.
